We are off to a great start in the Lower Elementary Classroom. The class is working well as a community. The 1st graders are working hard and our 2nd & 3rd graders are developing into amazing leaders.

We recently completed a unit on butterflies. Our students have enjoyed learning the four stages of the butterfly. The lesson culminated in the hatching of our classroom butterflies and their release into their natural environment.

We celebrated two August birthdays:
Cole: 7 years old
Emma: 6 years old

We will begin our regular visits to the Chapin library after the Labor Day Holiday next week. Everyone is looking forward to finding "just right" books that can be read and shared with friends in the classroom.
