Meet the Teacher - Thursday, August 5th

Tax-Free Weekend - August 6th - August 8th
South Carolina's Tax-Free Weekend is Friday, August 6th - Sunday, August 8th. While we do not require school supplies, this is a great weekend to purchase something from your child's classroom wishlist.

Back to School Open House

Abner Montessori invites all families to our Meet the Teacher event. Each classroom will be open for students and the parents to visit from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm. This is a wonderful opportunity for children to meet their teachers, visit with classmates, and become familiar with the classroom. We encourage parents to take this opportunity to drop off items your children will need for the start of school; such as nap items, and change of clothes.

Afterschool Program: Sky After School

Our school day ends at 3:15 pm and our onsite after school program starts at 3:30 pm. Sky After School provides care for Abner Montessori students and picks up from Piney Woods Elementary and Chapin Elementary School.

Sky After School provides snacks and care for students until 6:15 pm. Abner Montessori students receive a discounted rate for this program. Cost for Abner students is $25.00 a week. If you will need care later than 3:30 pm, please register your child for Sky After School. Sky registration fee is waved for full-time Abner Montessori School students. Supplies for First Day of School

On the first day of class or at Meet the Teacher, please be sure to bring the following items.

All Students Need:

  • an extra set of clothing, including socks, to be kept at school during the year, held in a one-gallon zip-lock bag labeled with your child’s name (please make sure clothing is weather appropriate)

For children that will nap:
  • a light blanket (one that the child can learn to fold themselves)
  • a small pillow (that can fit in your child's cubby)

Please label all personal possessions!

Pricing Information for 2021-22

Below is our tuition table for 2019-20. Families that sign up for automatic drafting will receive a $200.00 ($20.00 per month x 10 = $200.00) discount on full day rates and $100.00 ($10.00 per month x 10 = $100.00) discount on half day rates. This discount will be spread over 10 months. For more information, see the Automated Drafting (ACH) section for a FAQ and information on how to sign up.

Payment Methods & Due Dates

Abner Montessori School and Sky After School accepts cash, check, credit, and debit for payment of tuition. We can also automatically draft payments from a checking or savings account for both Abner Montessori and Sky After School. Abner families that sign up for automatic drafting receive a discount on tuition. For more information on automatic drafting (ACH) please see the labeled section.

If you are paying by check, you can drop off your check in the black box hanging next to our front desk. Cash payments can be taken at the front desk. If you need an envelope to place your payment in or a receipt, our front desk attendant can get one for you.

Card payments are accepted through Square at the front desk or you can make payments on our website.

Statements during the school year are emailed once a month month. If you have a Primary or Elementary student, statements will be placed in your child's mailbox. If you have any questions about payment, please email us at [email protected].

MONTHLY tuition payments are due by the 3rd of of each month; TWICE MONTHLY tuition payments are due by the 3rd and 18th of each month. A late fee of $30.00 will be added for payments received after the close of business on the third day after the date your payment is due. Returned checks will be surcharged a $30.00 bank processing fee.

Automatic Drafting (ACH) FAQ


ACH Payments are a free service offered by Abner Montessori / Sky After School whereby your regular tuition payment is electronically withdrawn from your checking account and applied to your Abner Montessori / Sky After School account. Your payment is automatically withdrawn on your regular billing date. If your billing date falls on a weekend or holiday, the payment is withdrawn on the next business day. No more writing checks, buying stamps or worrying about mail delays!


Yes, you will receive a billing statement for the full term of your tuition contract. Once you have been enrolled in the ACH program, your statement will reflect that your payment is being made automatically.


If you change banks after enrolling in the ACH service, please contact us and let us know and fill out a new ACH form.


ACH withdrawals may be rejected by your bank because of insufficient funds, closed or unauthorized accounts or other reasons. Your ACH payment will not be credited to your Abner Montessori / Sky After School account if the payment is returned by your bank for any reason. Please note that in the event of a rejection due to insufficient funds, Abner Montessori / Sky After School reserves the right to re-present this payment after 3 calendar days unless you give Abner Montessori / Sky After School notice within 2 calendar days of the rejection. Abner Montessori / Sky After School reserves the right to terminate your participation in this service at any time.


You may cancel your participation in ACH withdrawals at any time by simply calling Abner Montessori / Sky After School at (803) 345-9428. To do so, you must contact us at least five (5) days before the next scheduled ACH will be withdrawn. Once enrolled for ACH withdrawals, unless you cancel the service, you may not skip, suspend or delay the ACH withdrawal of any scheduled payment.


Click enroll for Automatic Drafting. Here you will have the choice of completing the ACH form online or downloading a PDF that you can complete and turn into Abner Montessori School. Please allow fifteen (15) days for your account to be set up for ACH withdrawals. Please make your regularly scheduled payment(s) in the meantime. Your Abner Montessori / Sky After School account must be current in order to enroll in this service.

Schedule for Drafting

Abner Montessori School has two plans for drafting: The Monthly Plan and the Twice Monthly Plan.

The Monthly Plan will draft on the 3rd of each month or on the next available business day. The Twice Monthly plan will draft twice a month on the 3rd and 18th or the next available business days.

Families who sign up for Abner Automatic drafting will receive a discount on their annual tuition rate spread out over our 10 month school year. Full day students receive a $200.00 discount off annual tuition. Half day students receive a $100.00 discount off annual tuition.

We also have automatic drafting available for Sky After School. Sky After School drafts every two weeks.
