Biblical Foundation

The name Abner means, "My father is a lamp." The name provides the vision of a path being lit on a journey. We want to partner with you as we light the path for your child on their journey through the early education years. We use the sun (a source of light) in our logo and have adopted the slogan, "Shining Light on Life Building Experiences."

We hope to be a source of light in the development of your child.

Our Statement Of Faith

We believe the Bible is the Word of God written by divine inspiration. It is God's revelation of Himself to man and has supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

We believe there is only one living and true God who has no beginning and no end. He saves us from sin and death when we come to Him through Jesus Christ. God reveals Himself to us as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being.

Jesus Christ

We believe in Jesus Christ, God's only begotten Son, born of a virgin conceived by the Holy Spirit. Through His death, burial, and resurrection, He provides atonement for sin to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. There is no salvation apart from personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord.

We believe that all people are sinners by nature and choice and are therefore under condemnation. Salvation is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.

Godly Play

Godly Play is a method of teaching the Bible in an engaging and creative way. Reverend Dr. Jerome Berryman, theologian and Montessori trained, envisioned a curriculum exploring the mystery of God's presence in our lives. He created Bible lessons based on Montessori principles that engage the senses and natural wonder about God and teaches us to listen for God's call in our lives. Using Biblical stories with hands-on material allows the child to wonder about the truths in God's message. Godly Play creates an opportunity for the child to understand the redemption provided by God's son Jesus Christ and begin a personal relationship with God.
